How to avoid burning the motor?

The normal service life of a motor is several years. However, if the motor fails due to improper operation, the service life of the motor will be shortened. 1. Always keep the motor clean. During the operation of the motor, dust, water stains and other sundries are not allowed within at least 3 meters around the air inlet, so as to prevent the motor from being sucked inside, forming a short-circuit medium, or damaging the insulation layer of the wire, causing short circuit between the boxes, increase of current and temperature, and burning the motor.

Therefore, to ensure that the motor has enough insulation resistance, as well as a good ventilation and cooling environment, in order to keep the motor in a safe and stable working condition during a long time of operation.

2. Keep the motor working under rated current. The overload operation of the motor is mainly caused by the excessive load, low voltage of the drive, or the mechanical stagnation of the drive. If the overload time is too long, the motor will absorb a lot of active power from the power grid, the current will increase sharply, the temperature will also rise, and the insulation of the motor will be aged and destroyed under high temperature.

Therefore, during the operation of the motor, it is necessary to frequently check whether the transmission device is flexible and reliable; whether the concentricity of the coupling is standard; whether the flexibility of the gear transmission, etc. if any stagnation is found, the motor shall be shut down immediately to find out the cause and remove the fault before operation.

3. Always check whether the three-phase current of the motor balances the three-phase motor. The difference between any one phase current of the three-phase current and the average value of other two-phase current is not allowed to exceed 10%, so as to ensure the safe operation of the motor. If it is over, it indicates that the motor is faulty, and the cause must be found out and eliminated in time.
